Budding Nigerian actress, Nancy Igbojionu has shared some of her challenges plying her trade as an up and coming actress in Nollywood.

Nancy Igbojionu who had an interview recently reported by Kemi Filani revealed that almost every director and producer wants to see the color of her pant before giving her a role in their movies.

According to her, this trend makes her feel very worthless as filmmakers do not look at what she can do with her talent but only have an interest in her kpekus.

My challenges coming up was that everybody wanted to see the colour of my panties with the promise that they will make me a star. Of course, it made me feel worthless, like all they want is just the pant, and not what I have to offer, my talent”.

Sharing her bad sex experience, the script interpreter said:

“I don’t experience bad sex because my man crush is so yummy on the bed. I have experienced bad sex once; it was not good at all.”

Jim Lawson Maduike, A Veteran Nollywood Actor Died Today.

The Nollywood industry is once again greeted with the death of another well known actor, and this comes as a tragedy to fans just after the new year celebration.

Many Nollywood fans may be familiar with the veteran actor named, Jim Lawson Maduike who has influenced the movie industry on his own specific ways.

The Imo-born actor died today, January 9 and according to reports he passed on after complaining of body pains at around 12 pm during the day.

Maduike joined the movie industry in 2004, and then went on the seal his name in the category of veterans.

Asides being an actor, Maduike was a radio broadcaster, writer, voice-over artist, a television personality and filmmaker. Check out some photos of Jim Lawson Maduike below.

Didi Ekanem is currently single and during an interview with SunNews, she revealed that she doesn’t like a man with good and honorable character, that she prefers a man with ‘bad boy’ character.

According to the endowed actress, Didi Ekanem, she said; “I can’t say who I can marry or who I can’t marry. Whoever God says is mine, is mine”.

She also added that; “My kind of man must be God-fearing. He must be respectful and caring, with a little bad boy character, obviously not a bore, a man that can love me right.”

Apart from watching Nollywood movies as her hobby, Didi Ekanem loves dancing as she recalls how she normally dance for her siblings and they would cheer her up.

Actor cum filmmaker, Victor Iyke has recalled some of his nasty experiences while chasing a career in Nollywood.

According to him, the Nigerian entertainment industry is akin to Sodom and Gomorrah where homosexuals abound. “Homosexuals are everywhere in Nollywood. And yes, I had encounters with them while chasing a career as an actor. They are part of the reasons I started making my own films, to be in charge so that no one would give me such conditions before giving me a movie role,” Iyke told Inside Nollywood

Nevertheless, the award winning filmmaker looks forward to starting a family soon with a beautiful actress. “I’m looking forward to getting married to an actress. It will be a blessing because we would mix our creativity. Being in the same field, we’ll help each other attain our goals faster. Imagine after a wonderful lovemaking… boom! We both come up with a wonderful story on the bed and start working on it.”

Nollywood Mourns As Veteran Actor, Academician Dies At 74

Prof Ayo Akinwale, a prominent Nollywood actor and lecturer in the Department of Performing Arts, University of Ilorin, has died at  74.

Mr Kunle Akogun, Director of Corporate Affairs of the University of Ilorin who confirmed the death to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), said he died on the Sept. 13.

Akinwale began his acting career in the 1970s featuring in television and drama productions.

He won the Best Indigenous actor award at the 4th Africa Movie Academy Awards.

Born in Ibadan, he attended Methodist High School and the University of Ibadan before beginning  academic work as a lecturer at the Polytechnic Ibadan.

He was the Dean, Faculty of Arts and Culture of University of Ilorin and also the Chairman of Oyo State Council for Arts and Culture.

Akinwale also starred in several cultural festivals across Nigeria, a versatile producer, academician and play writer.

He produced a ‘Sango’in 1997, Ladepo Omo Adanwo in 2005 and Iranse Ajein 2007.

He was the poinnier board Chairman of UnilorinFM. (NAN)
