HRH Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, the Sultan of Sokoto has described the Fulanis as the dominant ethnic group with the most kidnappers in NIgeria.
The First Class Monarch made this revelation, yesterday, at the meeting of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders’ Association of Nigeria (MACBAN).
In his speech, the monarch said that seven out of ten arrested kidnappers in Nigeria are Fulani. However, he noted that it was wrong to criminalise all Fulani Herdsmen because of the bad eggs among them.
He remarked that he is a Fulani himself and he is not a bad man neither is he a criminal. For him, the Fulanis engaged in one form of crime or the other are across the country. This, it is not proper to classify all Fulanis as criminals.
The Sultan, however, mentioned that all hands should be on deck in order to resolve this problem. He brought up the idea of partnering with the Presidents of other West African neighbours where Fulanis are dominant like Senegal, Niger Republic, Guinea and Mali in other to stop them from crossing over to Nigeria to perpetrate their criminal activities.
Thank God for honest men like the Sultan of Sokoto who always stand on the path of truth. Goodness shall never elude them.

Freed Port Harcourt-based female lawyer Miss Bisola Ajayi has disclosed that she escaped death by divine providence, following the timely intervention of operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Nigeria Police Force, Rivers State Command.
Miss Ajayi, who disclosed that her captors increased their ransom from N50 million to N200 million, said the boys that kidnapped her last Sunday, had concluded to take her to the swamp to be killed before policemen suddenly appeared.
She made the disclosure while responding to questions from reporters shortly after the State Commissioner of Police, CP Joseph Mukan, had briefed the media on her release.
The lawyer said the hoodlums became afraid of how news about her abduction had gone round and had resolved on Wednesday night to kill her.
‘On Sunday evening, I was taken (kidnapped) by unknown gunmen in front of my house. They shot at me and took me in front of my family members. In fact, the told me they came for my family members.
‘I didn’t know where they kept me. But, they asked for ransom of N50 million. By the next day, the ransom went up to N200 million because everybody has reported that I was missing.
‘In fact, as at yesterday (Wednesday), they had decided that they would kill me. I want to thank everyone that ensured that I came home alive.
‘Some of the boys were violent, they kept on beating me. But, there were a few of them that told me that they would let me go if the ransom is paid.
‘There was one of them, in particular, that was surprised that I didn’t have a bullet wound. He thought that I have some charm on me. So, he kept on checking my body. I told him no, that it was Jesus Christ that saved me.
‘They were looking for how to kill me because they were certain that with the news that had gone round, somehow, something was going to go wrong. So, they planned yesterday night to move me into the swamp to kill me. So, the Police came just in time. All I could do is just to pray,’ she stated.
The lady, however, thanked Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, Commissioner of Police, Joseph Mukan, Nigerian Bar Association and others that contributed to her safe rescue.
‘I just want to thank the Governor of Rivers State (Nyesom Wike), the State Commissioner of Police (Joseph Mukan), National President of Nigeria Bar Association and Chairman of Port Harcourt branch of NBA, the Anti-Kidnap Unit and everyone that put in the effort to get me freed from them (kidnappers),’ she expressed.
Her rescue came barely two days after the State Commissioner of Police, Joseph Mukan, disclosed that preliminary investigation had revealed the gang behind her abduction.
He disclosed this when members of the task force set up by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) to secure the release of the young female lawyer visited him in Port Harcourt.
Contrary to police reports that no ransom was paid, the six Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officials who were recently released by their abductors have said they paid for their freedom.
According to them, they were not rescued by any security agency and each of them paid N6m as a ransom to the kidnappers before they were freed.
Recall that the Police spokesman, Ramham Nansel, had said no ramson was paid for their release.
“They were rescued by the security agencies comprising police and soldiers supported by vigilante groups and hunters,” ASP Nansel said.
However, the officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity to BBC Hausa Service, said the police lied.
One of them said, “What the police are saying is a big lie, there is no element of truth in it, the kidnappers established contact with our relatives, the ransom money was withdrawn in Nasarawa town.
“They instructed that only the driver should come with the money; when the driver brought the money, they kept us aside and counted it to ensure it was complete, but because it was getting dark, they did not finish and asked the driver to go with us while they also proceeded into the bush shooting in the air.”
Another victim whose leg was amputated as a result of the gunshot from the incident said, “We paid ransom through our relatives before we were released; some paid N5m, others N6m.”

Mohammed while responding to our correspondent, he revealed that he was the one monitoring the happenings around and calling them on phone giving them situations reports and what is happening on ground.
He confessed to newsmen that the family of Aliyu has been good to him but the Devil deceived him for the act that will end his life in jail.

” Honestly I don’t know them and I don’t know where they have taken them too. All they say they will give me part of the deal after the operation, which they later gave me sixty thousand naira of the one million ten thousand naira they have collected as ransom.

” From today I now understand doing good to people is a serious crime.” He said
CP Olubenga told journalists that it took them months to arrest them as they don’t stay in one place and the arms dealer who is providing them with arms and ammunitions is being trailed
Meet OSISIKANKWU: One of the most feared and notorious kidnapper the South East has ever experienced. With real names Obioma Nwankwo. Osisikankwu was known as a deadly, ruthless and cold blooded killer.

He is an indigene of Ugwuati, in Ukwa West local government area of Abia State. A state he and his dare devil gang terrorized for years before he met his end in the hands of Nigerian Army on Sunday, 12 of Dec 2010.
Osisikankwu spent most of his life in Port harcourt, Rivers state where he became a member of a dreaded militant group in Okirika. When the Niger Delta militants were granted amnesty by Late President Umaru Musa Ya’adua, Osisikankwu returned to his hometown in Abia state.
There he formed what later became one of the most feared kidnapping and criminal syndicate, in the history of South-East and South-South, Nigeria. Having great knowledge of the Ugwuati evil forest, he used it as his operational base to cause mayhem in Abia state and surrounding states which include Rivers state.
