Buhari dashes South East’s hopes, allegedly appoints new Police IGP from Borno

President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly appointed Zanna Mohammed Ibrahim, an Assistant Inspector-General as the acting Inspector General of Police; effectively dashing the hopes of the South East which had agitated for the region to produce the next IGP.

AIG Ibrahim, the alleged new appointee, hails from Borno State.

However, 1st News reports that the appointment is yet to be confirmed by the Presidency.

Nevertheless, feelers indicate that the development has already began to spark celebrations among sections of the Police Force. Meanwhile, the appointment of AIG Ibrahim by President Buhari comes in the wake of the retirement of Adamu Mohammed Abubakar; the erstwhile IGP.

Buhari

Zanna Ibrahim, an indigene of Borno State, was born on November, 26, 1962. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in International Relations and Strategic Studies; both from the University of Jos, Plateau State. He was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force, on 15th March, 1988.

On successful completion of training at the Nigeria Police Academy Annex, Kaduna; he was posted to the Borno State Police Command, where he had a one-year compulsory attachment at Biu Divisional Police Headquarters. Also, he later served in various Commands and Police formations across the country.

Equally important, the acting IGP was appointed Zamfara State Commissioner of Police on 2019.

Until his appointment, AIG Ibrahim was the Commandant of the Police Academy, Kano State.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed has called on critics complaining about the purported worsening security situation in the country to end the needless emotion.

He challenged them to come up with facts and figures to buttress their claims, adding that the security situation had rather improved compared to when the administration came to power in 2015.

The minister said this when he featured on “Politics Nationwide”, Radio Nigeria programme on Tuesday, February 2, in Abuja.

Police probe Apostle Suleman for allegedly having romantic affair with pastor’s wife

“Apostle Suleman Will Call Me To A Hotel And I Will Pass The Night There” – Pastor Faith Edeko Refute Adultery Claims

– An extramarital affair scandal has rocked the Omega Fire Ministries International

The founder and general overseer of the church, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has been named in the scandal

– The Nigeria police force has already taken steps to unravel the truth of the matter

An emerging report claims that the general overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman, is being probed by the police for allegedly having an extramarital affair with the wife of a pastor.

According to The Punch newspaper, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, ordered the probe on Suleman following the accusation.

The publication stated that the religious leader was accused of having a romantic affair with a female pastor, Faith Edeko, who heads the Abuja branch of Omega Fire Ministries in Utako.

The husband of the woman, Pastor Mike Davids, is reported to have left the church over the incident.

Davids in a petition to the IGP through his lawyer accused Suleman of dating his wife and destroying his marriage.

He said his wife confessed to him that the religious leader had extramarital affair with her when she went to help him to set up a gospel television station.

Davids said:

”My wife was a staffer with NTA Iruekpen, so Apostle Suleman reached out to her that they will need her to build Celebration TV and Rhema for Living. She would have to shuttle between Osun State and Auchi.

“She came back from Auchi to Osun State and said she wanted to talk to me that her conscience was pricking her. I asked what was it and she said that while in Auchi, Apostle Suleman lodged her at Uyi Grand Hotel and he came there and slept with her.”

In response to the petition, the IGP in a letter dated January 5, 2021, asked the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Force Intelligence Bureau, Garki, to investigate the matter.

The letter from the police boss with reference number CB:7000/IGP.SEC/ABJ/Vol.515/561, was titled:
”Re: Criminal petition against Apostle Johnson Suleman for enticement of a married woman; adultery; unlawful criminal restraint to access children and threat to Life”
The letter read in part:
“I attach herewith a copy of a letter dated December 30, 2020 with its attachments received from V.C Ezenagu & Associates on the above underlined subject. The Inspector-General of Police directs that you treat. Accept the assurances of my esteemed regards please.”

However, his wife, Pastor Faith Edeko, has denied the allegations made by her husband. She accused him of abandoning their marriage and leaving home.
Similarly, a resident pastor of Omega Fire Ministry, Joseph Iyare, dismissed the accusation by Pastor Davids.
He described Davids as a man frustrated by his own evil deeds.

I Almost Drank Sniper Because Of What You Made Me Go Through For 10 Years – Estranged Wife Speaks

Trying times are normal things for all Christians and I think that this is another trying time for the General Overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman as a pastor in the ministry, Pastor Mike Davids accused him of sleeping with his wife years after Stephanie Otobo also accused him of dating her and abandoning her.

Nigerians have so far reacted to this as the Pastor who had issue with Apostle Suleiman broke down in tears as he begged Apostle Suleiman to return his wife after he said he logged her in a hotel and slept with her. The estranged wife who has been dragged for sleeping with Apostle Johnson Suleiman has spoken out as she revealed how her husband maltreated her.

She said he left her in Kano State and told her that he was going to leave the marriage after they have been together for years. The issue he had with Apostle Suleiman made him to be suspended from the Church and in a way she took the position of her husband as she was always with Papa to programs. Due to the fact that he abandoned her, Apostle Johnson Suleiman helped her with money to open a shop so that she can have something doing.

She said after he told her he was not going to continue with the marriage, she collapsed in her office and woke up in the hospital. She said her husband made her pass through hell for good 10 years and that she decided to react to his video after he said Apostle Johnson Suleiman slept with her, saying that it is a big lie.

She said she will not drag her husband so as to protect the image of their kids, but if he continues to say Apostle Suleiman slept with her, she will have no option but to tell Nigerians how he maltreated her. She said she contemplated suicide and actually bought sniper to take her life, but it was her neighbor that came to her rescue.

Female pastor accused of adultery with Apostle Suleiman by ‘Pastor husband’ reacts

OrijoReporter.com, Pastor Faith Edeko
Pastor Faith Edeko, the woman whose (ex) husband, Pastor Mike Davids, accused of dating the Senior Pastor of the Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has reacted to the trending report.
Pastor Edeko, the pastor-in-charge of the ‘Home of Elevation’ branch of the OFM, Abuja, in a viral video following the publication of the story, denied she is having an affair with Apostle Suleman.
Pastor Faith, in the video, said that the man who leveled the allegation is her former husband, as they have divorced after abandoning her for years, adding that Apostle Suleman is only her benefactor.
Taking a swipe at Pastor Davids for the accusation, Pastor Edeko declared: “Mike you don’t deserve anything good in your life. This is the height you will tell the world and, of course, they will throw stones because that is the only thing a man will say to a woman after leaving her for years. This is the only thing you can say.
“I know you drink but I don’t know it has gotten to this height. Just listen to yourself; a man who brought me up, my family knows him, he adopted me like his child, I stayed with him, even when I was not married, I was still single when I met him. And you confirmed it in your video, listen to yourself, Mike.
“Apostle suleman will call me to a hotel and I will pass the night there but you didn’t bother because you knew I was a virgin; can you listen to yourself?

See Video footage 👇

“I kept my virginity for that long and you married me a virgin. I stayed with this man that long still as a virgin, and he didn’t deflower me. So, the best time to sleep with me was when I was married? You don’t deserve anything good in your life; thank God you told Nigerians you met me a virgin. What I didn’t do when I was single, I now started doing it when I was married? A woman who gave birth will still be bleeding after six months.
“I was still at Osogbo after six month, then how did I transport myself to OFM Auchi. I am doing only this because of Mitchel and Apostle Suleman that you are dragging.”
Meanwhile, in an Instagram post Monday afternoon, Apostle Suleman also reacted to the subject in a passing manner. He wrote: “IGP orders probe on me? Where, when? Maybe my ghost. Just reading stories now. Please discard. There is no such thing. Bad press really sells fast.”

Apostle Suleman denies police probe of his ‘affair with married woman’

THE General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has dismissed reports that the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, had ordered the probe of his alleged affair with the wife of a former member of his church, Pastor Mike Davids.

Davids had accused Suleman of sleeping with his wife, Pastor Faith Edeko, who heads the Utako, Abuja branch of the church.

In a petition to the police, Davids also said Suleman threatened him and denied him access to his children.

But in his verified Twitter handle, @APOSTLESULEMAN, the cleric tweeted: “IGP orders probe on me? Where, when? Maybe my ghost. Just reading stories now. Please discard. There is no such thing.”

The Nation had reported that the IGP ordered the probe of Apostle Suleman in letter addressed to the Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG), Force Intelligence Bureau, Garki, Abuja, dated January 5, 2021.

The letter was signed by the Principal Staff Officer II to the Inspector-General of Police, Iliya Doma, an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).

It was in response to a petition by Davids’ counsel, V. C. Ezenagu & Associates.

The letter was titled: “Re: Criminal Petition Against Apostle Johnson Suleman for Enticement of a Married Woman, Adultery, Unlawful Criminal Restraint to Access Children and Threat to Life.”

It reads: “I attach herewith a copy of a letter, dated December 30, 2020, with its attachments received from V. C. Ezenagu & Associates on the above-underlined subject. The Inspector-General of Police directs that you treat. Accept the assurances of my esteemed regards, please.”

Davids, in a video, had said: “Apostle Suleman has damaged my life. I have not seen my wife and children for two years and Apostle Suleman says if I ever go near them, he will have me taken out. I have a video where he said he will make me disappear. I don’t want to lose my life.”

But Pastor Edeko, in a video, described her husband’s allegations as cheap blackmail.

“I don’t know what you hope to achieve, I don’t know who paid you, but the only thing I will say is haven’t you done enough? Are you not tired of flogging someone’s daughter in pain?” she said.

Resident Pastor, Omega Fire ministry, Headquarters, Joseph Iyare, said Davids was “frustrated by his own evil deeds”.

While this is yet to be confirmed to be true, the Nigerian Police has also been involved. The involvement of the Nigerian police led to the probe of Apostle Suleiman by Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.

In this article I would be sharing beautiful photo of Pastor Faith Edeko, who is currently the head pastor of the Omega Fire Ministry Utako branch in Abuja. See below

We Need N24.8Bn To Fuel Vehicles And Motorcycles – IGP

The Inspector-General of Police, Muhammad Adamu has disclosed that the Force will need N24.8bn to fuel its fleet of vehicles and motorcycles in a year.

The police chief who disclosed this when he presented the 2020 budget performance and and defended the 2021 budget proposal before the House of Representatives Committee on Police, said they are being bogged down by the low envelope budgetary provisions.

Adamu said;

“The implication is that under an ideal situation, the amount that has been reviewed cannot meet up with the requirement of policing the country.

“If you take for example, the daily fuel consumption for our vehicles; vehicles that have petrol engine take about N22.5bn to fuel it within the year.

“The motorcycles we have will require N834.4m to fuel. And those vehicles using diesel will require N4bn to fuel.

“So, if you compute this, with what has been proposed, fuel alone will take the chunk of the money that has been budgeted not to talk of maintenance. If we’re to maintain our vehicles and motorcycles, it’ll take about N8.04bn in a year.”

The IGP further disclosed that the 2021 budget estimate for the police was N469.4bn, but was scaled down to N449.6bn.

Police Officers Have Constitutional Powers To Kill, IGP Adamu writes in new memo.

After the EndSars protest was done by Nigerians youths who demanded that police brutality be stopped and asked for some police reforms, the Inspector General Of Police has this to say.

According to People’s Gazzette, the Inspector General Of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has cited a section of the Constitution that allows officers to kill if they have reasonable justification in a memo. He told officers in an internal memo to use live rounds to prevent illegal acts amongst citizens citing the Section 33 (2) of the Constitution, which said no one would be deemed to have been deprived of life if the person was killed while evading arrest, fleeing from detention, taking part in insurrection or rioting. This is coming at a time when police officers are facing resistance from EndSars protesters.

While some thinks it’s constitutional for them to act in such way at desperate times,some are of the opinion that the police are meant to protect and not kill. See some reactions below;

They Killed My Daughter, I’m Not Happy. Justice Must Be Done” – Father Of Girl Killed By Police

As Nigeria continues to fight for an end to police brutality in the country, people who have had first-hand experience with police brutality or who have lost loved ones to police brutality have continued to tell the world their stories. As we all know, a few weeks ago, the youths had taken to the streets to protest and demand for the disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), the terror police unit that was known for its nightmarish attacks on young Nigerians.

<p class="has-drop-cap has-vivid-red-color has-text-color" value="<amp-fit-text layout="fixed-height" min-font-size="6" max-font-size="72" height="80">For long years, Nigerians have suffered frustrations and pains in the hands of the police, the same people that are paid to protect them, that is why part of what they were demanding for during the protest was the reform of the police, because they reasoned that a reform would put an end to the brutality meted to Nigerians by some of these wayward police officers. For long years, Nigerians have suffered frustrations and pains in the hands of the police, the same people that are paid to protect them, that is why part of what they were demanding for during the protest was the reform of the police, because they reasoned that a reform would put an end to the brutality meted to Nigerians by some of these wayward police officers.

It should be recalled that as part of the strategies to pacify the youths and listen to their agitations, the presidency had ordered for a judicial panel to be set up in various states to look into the cases of police brutality. And since the #EndSARS protest began and when the judicial panels were set up, we have been hearing some sad and heartbreaking stories from members of the public. And today, Punch shared the story of a young lady who was killed by a wayward police officer last year. The touching story was recounted by the girl’s father and her siblings.

Her name was Jessica Adaobi Ifeanyi Ojide, she was just 21 years old when she was killed by SARS on the April 13th, 2019 at Olodi-Apapa, Ajegunle.

Below are photos of Jessica:

According to father, the only offence that Jessica committed to the SARS officer that killed her was because she was trying to speak up for a stranger. He said that Jessica saw the officer shooting at someone, and she went closer to the officer and asked him why he was shooting the person. And in anger, the officer turned to her and fired at her three times. Jessica fell and died at the spot.

Photos of Jessica’s father:

Jessica’s father, Ifeanyi Ojide, said that after shooting his daughter, the officer ran into the nearest police station and escaped from there, and since then nothing has been heard of him again.

He said that the officer that killed his daughter is called Mr Ojo, but he lamented that even after a year after the death of his daughter, Mr Ojo is still walking about freely, despite the promise of justice from the Inspector General of Police and the Commissioner of Police. He said since Jessica was killed he has not been happy, and that he wants justice to be done. He said that Jessica was a very nice girl who loved to help anyone she saw in need, and that is exactly what led to her death.

See photo of Ojo, the officer that killed Jessica:

Mr Ifeanyi Ojide asked why is it so difficult for the police force to bring the officer to book, and give justice to his late daughter.

Also speaking were Jessica’s siblings. They lamented how they miss their sister. One of her siblings, Samuel Ifeanyi Ojide, said that Jessica was the one that had been taking care of him since he was little, and that she was the one that was training him in school when she was alive. Now that she’s dead, I wonder what has become of the boy’s education now.

Below is another sibling of the late Jessica, Deborah Ifeanyi Ojide:

See photos of Jessica’s mother in tears when Jessica died:

Me Ifeanyi said that it is a good thing that the youths stood up to protest against SARS and police brutality, because too many young people have lost their lives to the excesses of some of those wayward officers.

It is very sad indeed, and what makes it sadder is the justice that has been denied Jessica’s family since her death. I know losing their daughter and sister is tough for the family, but getting them justice would have helped calm down some of the pains that the death of Jessica brought them. And I hope the Inspector General of Police will rise up to this and bring Ojo to book for the untimely death he brought on the young Jessica.

May her soul continue to rest in peace, and I hope that her death will never be in vain, and justice will be done soon.

Please drop some words of consolation for her family, and share the article so that others can see this too.

Accroding to Kemi Olunyolo The police inspector general has ordered the police to safeguard themselves.

See her tweet below:

As indicated by reports from the Nigerian paper, “The Nation news paper”, the police inspector general, ordered the police to secure themselves in the event that they are attacked.

Considering this, it would be an error for any body to attack or assault a cop starting from now till further notice.

Nonetheless, Kemi Olunyolo neglected to see that the police day additionally included their misfortunes in the warmth of the protest and chaos that followed a week ago.

The police can’t start murdering Nigerians, unless the situation requires self defense operation.

A comment like what Kemi Olunyolo said can cause mayhem and panic.

We simply hope that the police will completely return to their posts and order returns in the society.

“Your Mother, Carol Afegbai Killed A UNIBEN Student In 2013″ – Nigerians Blast Actress Lilian Afegbai

Actress Lilian Afegbai and her mother, Carol Afegbai, are in the news for an alleged crime commited 7-years-ago.

Nigerians are calling for the arrest of CSP Carol Afegbai, the mother of Nollywood actress Lilian Afegbai, for allegedly killing Momodu Ibrahim, a student of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) in May 2013.

"Your Mother, Carol Afegbai Killed A UNIBEN Student In 2013″ – Nigerians Blast Actress Lilian Afegbai 1

Social media users are dragging the actress on Twitter, asking her to produce her mother, CSP Afegbai, who is said to have shot Ibrahim three times in the chest on board daylight, buried him and later exhumed his corpse.

It was gathered that in June 2013, the Edo Political Forum (EPF) had urged the then Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, to investigate the death of Ibrahim who was murdered “animalistically by CSP Carol Onyekachi Afegbai, the Divisional Police officer (DPO) of Ogida Police Station in Edo State”.

The body, in a petition signed by Emmy Uwangue, said the then Commissioner of Police (CP) alleged that the young man was an armed robber.

The EPF accused the Commissioner of “relying on the mendacious information that was given by the She-devil DPO who they also described as the first daughter of the devil (Carol Afegbai)”.

The petitioners quoted the CP as saying that the student was “a bus driver and that a cut-to-size gun was found on the young man after he was shot just about 100 meters from his family’s house where he resided before Afegbai killed him.”

They noted that that CSP Afegbai claimed having a nightmare the day before the incident in which she personally killed two armed robbers.

“Carol Afegbai led out a team on May 27 looking for two imaginary armed robbers to kill, saying that her dreams always come true.”

The forum decried that Momodu Ibrahim was hurriedly buried on May 28, 2013, without the consent of the family or any close relative.

“How can you kill an innocent boy and bury him, this is another Clifford Orji in Edo State as killer DPO Carol Onyekachi Afegbai,” the petition said.

EPF demanded that Afegbai be dismissed and be “tried for murder for killing innocent persons, and be investigated properly about the source of her stupendous wealth”.

Since then, the Police has not provide any update. Nothing has been heard or said about the case until yesterday when Nigerians opened a remembrance book, recalling how Lilian’s mother, Carol allegedly executed a citizen seven years ago.

Lilian Afegbai has strongly supported the #EndSARS movement but sadly her mum Carol Afegbai was a Police Officer who brutally killed Ibrahim Momoh in 2013.

Do we appreciate Lilian’s support? Yes

But we want her mother Carol to be charged & prosecuted. End of story

Today is the day we fight for Momodu.
Arrest Carol Afegbai now.

Madam Sulia Queen, There’s an allegation that your old wicked Mum, CSP Carol Onyekachi Afegbai, then DPO of ogida police station in Benin-city, extrajudicially killed a Uniben student in the year 2013 & hurriedly buried him in a shallow grave. #EndSARS #ReformTheNigeriaPolicehttps://t.co/KQzjIyxc6L

Majority of those on the streets today are like Lilian Afegbai…their parents are part of the reason we are here.
However, this doesn’t stop the govt from doing the right thing with regards to the rot in the police force, I’m hoping her mum is caught and made to pay 4 her crimes https://t.co/MHkvS6a44L

Check 2013 Sahara reporters news. They tweeted about it. She must be brought to book. SHE IS AN EPITOME OF POLICE BRUTALITY .

This coming amidst the ongoing #EndSARS protest across the country against the SARS tactical unit of the Nigerian Police Force over its brutality, illegal arrest, extortion, extra-judicial killings, among others.

Remember the Driver that was Shot in Surulere’s Protest? Check what his wife said that got Reactions

Early this week, the EndSars Protests in Surulere Lagos State turned bloody. About four persons were said to have lost their lives during the Protest. Among the fours persons that lost their lives, one of them was allegedly shot by the Police. Mr Okechukwu Ilohamauzu was driver, and he was not even involved in the Protest, he was just passing by when a stray bullet hit and injured him. Those that were around tried their best to see how they could save him, but in the end, they lost him.

The wife of Late Mr Ikechukwu, Ngozi Ikechukwu, had an interview with The Cable and expressed how she felt by the incident. She never thought that her Late husband, wasn’t going to to come back home that faithful day. The woman in the interview, Narrated how calm and peace loving her late husband was.

She said that, she and her late husband has been married for over 11 years now. According to her, she said that her husband loves her so much and they both earn little to support themselves. They don’t have much, but they try their best to manage the little that they have. She further went on to say that, her joy has been taken from her, and who will help her now? One thing that she pleaded for was that, those who were guilty of Killing her husband should not be allowed to go free.

You can just imagine the pains, the poor widow will be going through. If anyone would have told her that her husband won’t be alive today, she wouldn’t have believed it. I just hope the right authorities look into her case and give the poor widow the Justice that she wants. At least that can help her find a little Peace.

Here are some Reactions from Facebook

And also, if they Nigerians the government supports her financially, that will also help, even though money can not replace life.
