Hoodlum on DPO’s Uniform After Attacking Police Station Has Been Arrested (Photos)

The hoodlum that wore the DPO’s police uniform after attacking a police station in Edo State has been arrested alongside others.

The new DPO as he was fondly hailed by protesters carted away and wore the police uniform to the amusement of fellow protesters.

A photo of him been paraded with handcuffs and still wearing the uniform is currently circulating on social media after massive raid by policemen.

Meanwhile, The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, on Tuesday, said 520 suspects have been arrested in connection with the series of arson, vandalism, burgling and robbing of unsuspecting members of the public of their valuables during the unrest occasioned by the #EndSARS protest in the state, Punch reported

Odumosu, who disclosed this during a press briefing at the command headquarters in the Ikeja area of the state, said the #EndSARS protest was hijacked by hoodlums, adding that the arrested suspects would be charged.

While stating the facilities affected in the state, the CP said, “A lot of public and private facilities were set ablaze, our police stations were also burnt and vandalised.

“Based on the incidences, the command swung into action realising that this is no more #EndSARS, where lives and property are lost and vandalised and burnt. We realised that the protest had been hijacked by hoodlums, so we moved in and we were able to recover some of the stolen items and arrest the perpetrators

So far, 520 suspects have been arrested for various offences, ranging from arson, robbery, murder, rioting, malicious damage, and unlawful possession of firearms. All the suspects we have arrested are not #EndSARS protesters and they will all be charged.

BREAKING: Hoodlums raze police stations in Lagos

Apap-Iganmu Police Station in Lagos has been set ablaze by suspected hoodlums.

Ibyson Fortes Blog learnt the incident occurred around 09.50am

The Layeni and Pako police stations in Ifelodun and, Apapa- Iganmu LCDA were on Tuesday afternoon set ablaze by hoodlums under the guise of the #EndSARS protests.

The incident bring to three police stations burnt down in Lagos as at Tuesday afternoon.

Responding to the burning down of the Orile police station and the violent dimension the protest had assumed, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu declared a 24-hour curfew in the state.

The other two police stations were said to have been set ablaze few hours after the announcement of the curfew, raising speculation that it might have been in reaction to the declaration of curfew
