Residents in various Local Governments of Borno state have been forced to flee to Yobe for safety after the Boko Haram terrorist group repeatedly unleashed terror on them. According to the Public relations officer for the Command, Dungus Abdulkarim, over 2,000 residents of Gubio, Magumeri, Maga and Konduga Local Governments have fled to Yobe for safety.
According to a news that was posted today, it was alleged that boko Haram insurgents today attacked a military base located in Borno state, and captured it, as they took over the base.
However while the former governor of Ekiti State and a top echelon in the People’s Democratic Party of Nigeria, Mr Peter Ayodele Fayose was reacting to this on his official Twitter handle, he made it known that Boko Haram insurgents captured a military base in Borno state, just four days after President Muhammadu Buhari alleged that, security situation in the North East part of Nigeria has greatly improved under him compared to previous administration.
He said that it is now Nigerians will appreciate what he said in 2015, because he told them then that President Muhammadu Buhari doesn’t have the capacity to rule Nigeria.
He further concluded his speech by saying that the president and the service chiefs are doing a great job, and also told them “well done”
